1. Introduction Historically the first of our potentiostats was designed to study intercalated compounds with long time experiments because of slow diffusion coefficients. It was a multichannel instrument that was working either in galvanostatic mode or in potentiostatic mode (each channel was devoted to one of both mode). Then the interest for multichannel potentiostats increased with battery testing, corrosion study and recently with biosensors development. Now our multichannel product range has several different very modular instruments: VMP, VSP, VMP3 and BiStat. They can be used in most of electrochemical applications from battery testing or intercalated compounds study to corrosion or multipitting. We can also mention electrochromics, fuel cells, capacitors or biosensors study. Our product range has be extended to single channel potentiostats with the VSP (one channel) and HCP***3 for high current applications such as fuel cell testing. The SP**0 and the SP***0 complete this single potentiostat range. The SP**0 consists of single computer board associated with one potentiostat channel board without EIS capability. The SP**0 cannot have other configuration. It has its own operating system included into the computer board. When started, the on-board computer performs full control of the experiment. One or several computers can perform full remote monitoring of the system. The computer is connected to the SP**0 through an Ethernet connection or through an alternative USB connection. With the Ethernet connection, several persons can reach the instrument from his computer. Of course another person than the user cannot monitor the channel when an experiment is running. This instrument is provided with one channel board without EIS capability and this configuration is fixed.
